Phase 3 of Gantzel Road and Painted Desert/Algarve Intersection Improvements Underway: Expect Delays

roadwork-1200

Phase 3 of the Gantzel Road and Painted Desert/Algarve intersection improvement construction project has commenced, bringing important changes that may impact your daily commute. The work, which began on July 28, is expected to continue until August 18.

The latest phase will primarily focus on the construction of the northwest corner radius, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) ramp, and signal pole foundations. These crucial additions will enhance accessibility and safety for pedestrians and drivers alike in the area.

However, with the ongoing construction activities, commuters should be prepared for some temporary adjustments to traffic patterns. To facilitate the work efficiently and ensure the safety of everyone involved, certain traffic restrictions have been put in place. During this phase, southbound Gantzel Road will experience limitations, and there will be no left turn allowed from either Painted Desert or Algarve onto Gantzel Road.

To minimize disruptions and accommodate construction activities, local authorities urge residents and commuters to plan their routes accordingly and allow for extra travel time during the construction period. Delays are expected, particularly during peak hours, so it's essential to remain patient and exercise caution while driving through the work zones.

For a comprehensive understanding of the impacted areas and traffic flow changes, a map has been provided for reference below.  While construction work can be inconvenient, the long-term benefits are paramount, and the local authorities are dedicated to completing the project as efficiently as possible.

Community members are urged to stay informed and follow any further announcements regarding the project's progress. Regular updates will be provided here on SanTanValley.com.

As Phase 3 of the construction continues, residents are encouraged to extend their support and cooperation to the construction crews, who are working diligently to bring about these much-needed improvements. Together, the community can ensure a smoother and safer future for the Gantzel Road and Painted Desert/Algarve intersection.
